Hey guys,
I am trying to restore my computer back to factory defaults with the recovery section on my Acer Aspire 5742G/Z (Whichever one it is lol). My problem is the restore process is failing because of an I/O error. I have tried both a complete restore and a ‘retain user data’ restore but both fail at 50%.
What I need is an ISO copy of the 3 recovery discs (10GB total). Please do not post answers how to recover the drive because I already know how to, I am certainly not a novice but the recovery partitions are screwed up for some reason and fail to restore. Where as a restore disc shouldn’t have any errors and can help me restore both the recovery partition AND the main files.
Can someone possibly upload copies of the recovery discs to a file host in ISO format for me to download?
Thanks in advance.
Phil.

Okay, as you’re not a novice you doubtless considered the possibility that your problem getting the restore process to work is down to the fact that your hard disc is failing. You tested the disc and found that it seemed good although you will know that it is quite difficult to be certain.

another way is to try to recover the file, tools like recovery software may be useful
