I need help with Rescue and Recovery 4 for my Lenovo?
My Lenovo is stuck on a screen entitled “Rescue and Recovery 4″ and it’s the only thing on the screen along with the ThinkVantage Technologies logo and the Lenovo logo. In the mid-section, the menu bar titled “Progress” says “System restore in progress… 0%”. Of course, I wanted to recover an old state of my computer/machine. Does anyone know how long it takes to do this recovery, because it has been stuck at 0% for the last 2 hours minimum and it’s exceptionally annoying since I do not want to lose my data. Any help is automatically appreciated. Thanx much! ^_^

you don’t want to stop or shut it off now
it may take a while for recovery
unless your hard drive is bad

The system recovery should begin immediately and if it has been showing it for 2 hrs you may have to just hold down the power button until it shuts down restart and then press F8 to enter start options choose last known good configuration or safe mode with networking. then try the system recovery again if it does not work or respond then you need a set of recovery disc to repair the OS or do a clean new install of the OS. Consult the user guide for the lap top or customer support from the manufacturer.
Always back up any thing of importance as one never knows when an OS will crash or a hard drive might fail. Always back up before making system changes or doing a recovery or system install.
