Ah yes. The good ol’ Maxtor Diamondmax Plus 9. I have to say I am very disappointed in the quality of these drives. I have favourited every failed Maxtor I can find on Youtube and a lot of them are Diamondmax drives.
Next time aim for something that isn’t a Maxtor Diamondmax. Better yet, stay away from Maxtor completely

@maxtornogood HEY! I have one of those in my Dell Dimension 3000, working perfectly with no bad sectors or S.M.A.R.T. errors. :p take that Tom! lol

I have the same Maxtor DiamondMax 9 40Gb it failed after 6 years of buy i have the hdd but i’m not using him now for 10 months

I have similar problem. Do you know if it could be solved changing logic? Or is it a probem with heads?
